Two Sterling silver-mounted wine decanters, (shown left)
Asprey & Co: a very stylish glass decanter with ‘pinched’ detail to all four sides. The neck of the decanter with a swept Sterling silver mount, retains its original heavy glass ball-form stopper. Bearing ASPREY LONDON marks, and hallmarked 1962.

(Right) a very unusual and early Sterling silver-mounted glass decanter of triangular form, with rounded shoulders, and oval cut out enabling a grip to the vertical handle extending down the rear of the body. The decanter has an elegant mounted collar with pouring spout, and (original) bulbous glass stopper. The heavy glass body is etched with registration number ‘Rd. 86044’, and the mount is fully hallmarked for Thomas Smily London, 1887.
