Modernist ski figure, 1930s

A Modernist cross-country ski figure ploughing through the snow, with a dark patinated ski suit and silvered details and features, very much in the style of Pierre Blanc (Swiss, 1902-1986) with distinct echoes of Franz Hagenauer. The figure is set on its original white marble base. French, circa 1930s.
