A magnificent and extremely rare double ‘Malle Armoire’ (the largest standard wardrobe trunk that Vuitton produced) in classic ‘Monogramme’ canvas. Skilled artisans have sympathetically and expertly re-purposed the trunk to become the ultimate cigar compendium and cocktail bar. On the left is a single glazed door, opening onto deep humidified storage for cased cigars, above is a drawer for cutters, lighters and everything the cigar aficionado could require, and set into the top a vintage Dunhill humidor, a portable cigar tube by Asprey & Co. and a Sterling silver cigar cutter.
On the right a mirrored bar preparation area, featuring a removable Art Deco marquetry drinks tray, a drawer for bar tools and recipe books, and two glazed doors which reveal a fitted area with highball glasses, tumblers, and two cut crystal decanters. In the lower section is a drinks cabinet, with a fitted Art Deco ice bucket, and matching cocktail shaker. Each area is illuminated, controlled with a remote, and the trunk sits on concealed castors to enable smooth opening. The result of several months of expert craftsmanship, this exceptional piece is now available for sale at our King Street gallery.
