An extraordinary, landscape-format Sterling silver photograph frame, the four corners of the deep frame have overlaid sections, each with three ‘screw head’ details with rose gold slots, and each corner is joined by a deep rose gold insert. The frame is supported by a polished hardwood easel back. Possibly the largest frame we have ever seen in this format, and stylistically right up to date! Stamped Cartier Sterling 925-1000 to the lower edge and complete with a red tooled Cartier presentation case (not shown). French, circa 1940s.
