Dressing case by Louis Vuitton, c. 1930

An early 20th century gentleman’s leather dressing case or ‘necessaire de voyages’ in black grained Morocco-leather, with a hinged lid and drop-front and fitted interior.
The interior contains nine glass and Sterling silver topped bottles, a silver cylindrical case, five brushes, a pull out shaving drawer, two small pull out drawers and two pull out dark velvet lined compartments.
A pull-out folding shaving mirror and manicure set including: a button hook, a penknife and shoe horn, nail files, nail clipper and scissors.
The brass clasps and lock stamped ‘L.V.’ ‘LOUIS VUITTON 149 NEW BOND STREET LONDON, 70 CHAMPS ELYSEES PARIS 058633’, the interior also stamped ‘LOUIS VUITTON 770029 MADE IN FRANCE’.
