A superb Brooklands Sterling silver motor-racing trophy cup and cover in the form of a George I cup, with cut-card decoration, gadroon rim and fluted foot, one side with finely engraved BARC (brooklands Automobile Racing Club) Monogram, the other inscribed ’28th lightning long handicap, 1st prize, 1st June 1925′, hallmarked C+R Comyns, London 1925.
Height: 12 inches (31 cms).
