An incredibly dynamic Art Deco silvered-bronze sculpture of a speeding locomotive, with patinated details and stylized ‘smoke’ streaming back from the funnel, the feeling of speed further enhanced by a grooved sôcle simulating the track, mounted on a green marble base. French, circa 1930.
