Travelling bar set, 1930s

A stylish travelling bar set consisting of a cocktail shaker, four glass spirit flasks with screw caps, a long-handled serving spoon, knife and a Waiter’s Friend-style corkscrew and bottle opener, all fitted within a deep honey-coloured pigskin case.

The half fall-front case is secured via a lockable latch with original key, stamped ‘TURNYT IKA 1750’. German, circa 1930s. Turnyt produced a range of quality leather travel goods in the early 20th century including camera cases for Zeiss and Kodak as well as holsters for pistols such as the PPK.
