A motor racing trophy of historical motor racing interest, presented by the Automovil Club Argentino to Juan Manuel Fangio for his 4th place classification in the III Grand Prix of General Juan Perón and the City of Buenos Aires, in January 1949, held in Parco Palermo, Buenos Aires. Fangio drove his Maserati 4CLT, finishing just behind Ascari, Villoresi and rival Oscar Gálvez. The silver plated trophy, with straightsided bowl with decorative embossed frieze, has an enamelled plaque MICHELIN ARGENTINA, and is engraved to the reverse AUTOMOVIL CLUB ARGENTINA CIRCUITO DE PALERMO, 29-1-1949, 4° J.M.FANGIO.
