An extremely elegant and substantial desk inkwell in the form of a bell, the swept body with a flat crown to the top has a hinged lid that lifts to reveal the original porcelain liner. The underside of the bell has its original leather base. Bearing Birmingham hallmarks for 1909, and stamped ASPREY & CO LTD, the inkwell comes in a bespoke Asprey presentation case. English, 1909.
