Evoking the beauty of the early ‘Tank’ watches made by Cartier in the period 1917 – 1935, the ‘Tank Americaine’ was introduced in 1989. Later, for a very short time and in very limited numbers, the legendary XL model – measuring 52 x 31.4mm – was available to order, including the chronograph model as shown here, with mechanical automatic calibre.
No longer available new, we are delighted to offer this superb example of the Cartier ‘Tank Americaine XL’ in 18ct rose gold, with original Cartier strap in brown crocodile skin featuring an 18ct rose gold deployment clasp.
The watch comes complete with original case and papers.
