A highly important Sterling silver table lighter, most likely a special commission, modelled as the 1931 Schneider Trophy winning Supermarine S6B high-speed sea plane. The lighter’s touch-tip mechanism is revealed by lifting the silver ‘cockpit’, and operated by a button fitted to the ebonized base, hallmarked Asprey & Co., 1936 with Asprey retailer’s stamp.
