A very stylish Art Deco Jazz Band, the tall, carved ebony figures with contrasting chromium-plated instruments, including saxophone, clarinet, trombone and bongo drums. Signed Hagenauer to the base of each. Austrian, circa 1930s.
Height of each figure: 12 inches (30 cms).
Additional Information:
In 1925, Franz Hagenauer (1906-1986) joined the family business established in the late 19th century by his father, Carl. Franz’s membership of the Weiner Werkstatte influenced him in the Art Deco manner directing the ‘Hagenauer style’ so popular today.
