Ship’s bulkhead clock from WWII, c. 1940s

A brass cased ship’s bulkhead clock from WWII by Cope of Nottingham. A white dial and ‘1-12′ hour markers, along with an inner ring indicating ’13-24’ markers. The dial has red 4 minute sections to the outer ring, and two red three minute radio silence zones.

The manual winding facility for the 8 day movement is positioned immediately above 6.0 clock, and the regulation is available immediately below the 12.0 clock position. The clock has a hinged pressure fit heavy bevelled glazed door, and the flared back plate has four holes for screwing to the bulkhead. Complete with key. English, circa 1940.
