A very unusual Art Deco cigar box with linear panels of green galuchat (shagreen) in varying green tones.
The side panels all ‘framed’ with Sterling silver panelling, the top with a heavy swept Sterling silver edge, the interior cedar lined with two dividers, and bearing makers marks ‘E & C’ and Birmingham hallmarks for 1922. English, dated 1922.
Dimensions: Length 9 inches (23 cms), depth 5½ inches (14 cms) and height 3½ inches (9 cms).
