Alfred Dunhill: a ‘Giant’ table lighter with engine-turned body in a bright gilded finish, with a vacant cartouche to the centre, the snuffer arm marked DUNHILL with internal spring, the base stamped DUNHIILL MADE IN ENGLAND Pat. No. 390107′, to the lift-arm ‘DUNHILL’. Height: 10 cms (4 inches). English, circa 1930s.

Alfred Dunhill : a ‘Half Giant’ table lighter, with engine-turned body in a bright gilded finish with a vacant cartouche to the centre, the snuffer arm marked DUNHILL with internal spring, base stamped ‘Made in England’, to the lift-arm ‘DUNHILL’. Patent No. 390107/Regd. Design No. 737418 Dunhill Regd.’. Height overall: 2 inches (5 cm). English, circa 1930s.

(Foreground): a large capacity cigar case, also by Dunhill, in gold-plated Sterling silver with an engine-turned decoration. Made for Dunhill Paris by Adie Bros. Ltd of Birmingham, the case bears maker’s marks and hallmarks for 1932. Length: 7 inches (18 cm).
