‘Zeppelin over the Empire State Building’. Original monochrome oil on canvas, dated 2010, framed within a plain ebonized wooden frame and unglazed.

Dimensions: 52 inches (132 cms) x 36 inches (92 cms).

Additional Notes: Lucio Perinotto was born in Bordeaux France in 1947 of Italian parents. After studying at Art School, he became a full-time professional artist in the early 1970’s, and has concentrated on aeronautical subjects for most of his career. Fascinated by the ambience of hydroplanes and high-speed flight, by the 1940’s and 1950’s, his work has regularly featured on the covers of the French aviation magazine ‘Le Fana de l’Aviation. Widely collected by aviation enthusiasts, his work can be found in numerous private, public and corporate collections, including those of Air France and The Musee de l’Air in Paris and EADS – (European Aeronautic Defense and Space Company, manufacturers of the Airbus).
