John Hasselbring of New York

A magnificent Art Deco six piece bar tool set by New York silversmith John Hasselbring. The set comprises a double cocktail jigger or measure, a long-handled cocktail stirrer or spoon, a corkscrew, bottle opener, ice masher and ice pick all with Sterling silver mounts and finials, and beautifully patinated antler handles. In virtually unused condition, each element of the set is stamped with ‘JH’ maker’s marks and STERLING. The set, retailed by Asprey, is fitted within a green glazed calfskin presentation case. American, circa 1930.

Based in Brooklyn, in the early part of last century, Hasselbring created silverware for a number of luxury retailers including Asprey and Cartier.
