An impressive nickel-plated travelling cocktail compendium in the form of a 1930’s milk bottle, comprising three frosted glass spirit flasks with nickel-plated screw caps, a stacking set of four beakers with gilded interiors, a double cocktail jigger and lemon juicer, all of which pack into the outer casing which itself serves as a cocktail shaker, the top with integral strainer secured to the body by means of a pair of hinged clips.

Height overall: 12 inches (30 cm).

The firm of J.A Henckels were well known for their innovative and ingenious pieces designed with the long-distance traveller in mind. From the 19th century onward, they were responsible for many different types of travelling drink and picnic sets, intended for use in circumstances where the availability of refreshment was uncertain. They are particularly well known for their ‘Zeppelin‘ and ‘Zeppelin Airplane‘ design of travelling cocktail sets.
