The Medallic Art Co. of NY

An unusual polished, heavy-cast Goodyear dealership award plaque commemorating 25 years of service, which would have been presented to dealers supplying the brand of tyre to their customers. It features a well detailed scene of cars, trucks, buses, a blimp and an air freighter. The rear is stamped MEDALLIC ART CO. NY, a firm of medallion and award makers founded by French-born sculptor Henry Weil, in 1903 and who still trades today as America’s oldest (and largest) private mint. Specializing in maces, medallions, chains of office and medals, the company continues to trade out of their 115,000 sq. ft. facility in Dayton, Nevada. American, circa 1930s.

Size: 17 x 12 inches (43 x 30 cm)
