An extraordinary and unique, large-scale sculptural model of the Ferrari 275 GTB/2 (long nose).
The model is constructed in John’s signature style of hand-formed aluminium panels riveted over a space frame. Finely observed and detailed with cast tyres and spinners, wing mirrors, wipers, bi-colour taillights, front fender fins and Ferrari boot-lid badge, and complete with PROVA Modena test plates. As with all of John’s models, the piece bears an engraved plaque ‘FERRARI 275 GTB by John Elwell, 2014’. 1 in an edition of 1.
John Elwell’s sculptural models are unique, one-of-a-kind pieces – once a model has been made, it will never be repeated. Taking almost 1000 hours to create, this superb model is approximately 1:4 scale.
Dimensions: Length: 47 inches (120 cms), width: 19 inches (49 cms) and height: 13 inches (33 cms).
Originally designed by Sergio Pininfarina and built by carrozzeria Scaglietti between 1966 and 1968, the 275 GTB is considered to be one of the most beautiful of all Ferraris, and replaced the 250 GT ‘Lusso’.
