A fine and amusing original 1937 gouache illustration depicting a series of caricature vignettes of all the famous lady racing drivers of the 1930’s, including Gwenda Douglas Hawkes, Kay Petre, Mrs ‘Tommy’ Wisdom, Dorothy Stanley-Turner, Mrs. Parnell and others, with their racing cars seen on the ‘Brooklands new road circuit’, Crystal Palace and Donnington. English, 1937. Dimensions: 50 x 36 cms (20 x 14 inches). Mounted, framed and glazed.
