Dion Pears (British, 1929-1985): An attractive, original 1966 oil on canvas of a Ferrari 412P driven by Piper and Bianchi at Spa 1000km race 1st May 1967. Car finished 3rd overall.

This painting and the (Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona by Dion Pears, ref 5249) are two of several motoring and motor-boating works commissioned by the Colonel from his friend, the artist Dion Pears, for display in his office at Maranello Concessionaires Ltd, Egham, Surrey between 1965 and 1975. Following his retirement, the collection of paintings was removed to his house overlooking Poole Harbour, Dorset.
