An extremely desirable, solid 18ct gold ‘Sports’ pocket lighter by Cartier, Paris. The body of this rare lighter with a vertical ribbed pattern features a protective wind guard which protects the wick when the lighter is in use, whilst enjoying outdoor pursuits.

The lighter bears French poinçon marks denoting 18 carat gold and model numbers to the circular fuelling cap in the base and is signed CARTIER, PARIS, MADE IN FRANCE.

This extraordinarily elegant example of Art Deco design is complete with a Cartier presentation case. French, circa 1932.
