Concorde presentation piece by Cartier, 1960s

An important and very rare Concorde presentation piece, the vermeil aircraft mounted on a rough-hewn block of rock crystal within a fitted Cartier presentation case, the model signed Cartier Paris to the underside of the plane, French, late 1960’s.

Dimensions: Length overall 4¼ inches (11 cms).

Additional notes: This very important piece is one of a limited number (thought to be 100 only), commissioned from Cartier for presentation to dignitaries aboard the inaugural flight of Concorde in 1969. This piece was presented to Queen Juliana (1909 – 2004), Queen of Netherlands 1948-1980, who was on the inaugural flight of Concorde.
