A very stylish, avant-garde still-life study of watermelon, wine and grapes following the Cubist lead of Picasso and Braque, the colours of the fruit in joyful contrast to the muted tones of the background.
Signed E. Favro and framed in a white gesso frame with a slip. Dates to the mid-1950s.
Size: 30 x 25 inches (94 x 76 cms).
