Neresheimer, Germany: a very stylish, heavy-gauge Sterling silver cocktail shaker in the form of a cat, realistically modelled in a crouched position, the pull-off head set with glass eyes, and removable fishtail-shaped stopper in the cat’s mouth. Hallmarked Sterling silver (925) and bearing German Neresheimer marks. Late 20th Century.

A highly decorative Sterling silver fish, with articulated scales giving it undulating movement, with detailing to the gills and fins, and inlaid, lapis stone eyes. Most likely of Japanese origin, circa 1930s. Length overall: 26 inches (66 cms).
