A very large, Sterling silver letter knife with a pale shagreen-wrapped handle and ivory tip. The blade hallmarked London, 1907. In a bespoke, grey grosgrain presentation box.
Shagreen’s naturally granular surface made it the perfect material for the hilts of swords and daggers, as it provided perfect grip in use.
Length overall: 17 inches (44 cms).
