‘THE CROSTON LONGTON CUP’, a fine Sterling flagon heavily chased in vertical linear relief, one side engraved ‘CROSTON LONGTON CUP APRIL 3rd 1862’, the other side ‘MERRIMAR’, the hinged cover with jockey and horse finial, the handle finely modelled with beadwork, London hallmarks for 1861.
