Rare, all-leather Vuitton ‘Hat Box’ humidor

A rare Top Hat trunk in natural leather by Louis Vuitton, complete with leather corners, brass studs, lock and fittings, the interior has been completely and sympathetically relined as a storage humidor, able to take a large quantity of cigars in their boxes to the lower section, with a lift out top tray for loose cigars, with practical movable dividers and a humidification system fitted to the inside of the lid. The underside of the trunk is framed in hard wood with the repeated “Louis Vuitton London-Paris-Lille-Nice” design applied. The lock plate bearing number 056103, and a void brass cartouche is fixed above. French, circa 1910.
