‘Hound’ ivory cigar cutter, 1890s

Viennese: an unusually large late-1800’s silver mounted ivory cigar cutter in the form of a hound, the dogs headset with glass eyes, with a laurel leaf collar, and overlapping silver foliate mount, and the cutter section wioth beaded border with leaves and applied acorns. Bearing silver marks and maker’s marks (A.R). Length overall: 7½ inches (18 cms).
