‘The Best of 1938’
An incredibly well observed mixed media montage on artists’ board of nine separate motor racing scenes. Featuring winning marques including Mercedes, Auto-Union, Delage and Aston Martin, each with a hand-written title panel, and capturing the key international drivers of the day at the wheel, including Richard Seaman, Earl Howe and Tazio Nuvolari. Signed ‘F. Gordon Crosby’ and dated 1938.
Framed within a plain black oak frame with acid-free mount.
Framed size: 30 x 40 inches (76 x 102 cms).
